Heavenly Bond (Final part)

The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head

Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things:

Some shall be pardon’d, and some punished:

For never was a story of more woe

Than this of Juliet and her Romeo.

“I don’t want our story to be another Romeo and Juliet. Please, don’t go anywhere.. please, baby, I love you, please wake up.”

Sitting beside Faiha’s hospital bed, holding her unconscious hand, Satvik was reading her favourite novel Romeo and Juliet to her. He hoped that she would soon wake up and tell him how madly she loves him.

It had been 2 weeks since Faiha attempted that suicide. Satvik rushed her to the hospital and had been there for her since then. Faiha’s parents were speechless, they, not even in their worst dream, had thought that Faiha would take a coward step like this. On the other hand, Satvik’s parents realized that he genuinely loves Faiha, she is not just a crush or attraction. It was true love.

Both the families were praying for her, they wanted her to get out of unconscious state. Sitting near Faiha’s bed, Satvik always told her to wake up soon.

Ten months passed without any improvement. Both families were losing the hope but Satvik, he never left Faiha’s side. Faiha was fighting a struggle between life and death.

Mustering up the courage for the first time, Faiha’s parents came and told her that religious differences were not above her. Satvik was the best choice. They were sorry for not giving her a chance to speak her heart out. They apologized for acting like that. The words worked as magic and her body started responding to medicines. The doctors were of opinion that she would soon gain consciousness. After a week or two, Faiha opened her eyes, she tried saying something but her throat was dry and no sound came. She took two weeks to recover completely.

After almost a year, she came back to her home. Impressed by Satvik’s dedication, love and care, Faiha’s parents decided to talk to Satvik’s parents about their marriage….

A dazzling smile blooming my day

After April definitely comes the may

My life also contorted on the road

For an amazing journey to board

Now days are brighter than the sun

And nights are full of peaceful fun

Coz all dark corners he enlighten up

To all my aches he is the only supp

Without him, I would be lifeless

Like a hard rock is all I guess!!

This was a fun collaboration with a wonderful and stupendous writer MEDHA CHUGH. Thank you for the amazing piece of poetry. Dear Readers, check out her blogs, they are fantastic.
